About the expert:

Rosie Chawla has a master's degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, a business certificate from Wharton Business School, and a bachelor's degree in Finance from Temple University. She has worked in the business field for 19 years. 

Since graduating from Columbia she has an impressive portfolio under her belt. In 2016, she traveled to Greece with a scholarship from Columbia University to research the lives of Syrian Refugees. She also worked for the United Nations in Myanmar for six months as a conflict researcher. 

In 2017, she was awarded a fellowship from the UN to go to Palestine and meet twenty businesses and NGOs working on the conflict between Palestine & Israel. She was selected to attend the prestigious OECD Forum in Paris. 

In 2018, she was chosen as one of the top 10% delegates for the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations. With the Rotary Club of Chengdu, she supported an NGO with the goal that ends child marriages. 

In 2019, she was awarded as a top finalist in Shanghai by Women Professional Society for Social Impact, and was invited to Norway both in 2018 & 2019  to attend the Business for Peace Forum.  

In 2024, she received the 2024 Global Ambassador Peace Award from Women’s Federation for World Peace International and was chosen for the Advisory Board for  the Business for Peace Council USA.

Currently, her role in China is that of a Global Projects Advisor, where she develops educational projects on global issues for educators, youth, and the community.
